Unusual. In Vannes, the Smurf artists have struck again!
Smurf, Hermine, Asterix… The collective “I Pixel di oplontis”, IPDO, has once again left its mark on the walls of Vannes (Morbihan).
"Oh! This Smurf is new. He wasn't here before." Observer this young man. Indeed, the Parisian artist collective "I Pixel di oplontis", IPDO, has struck again in Vannes ( Morbihan ). Since 2018, he has been creating pixel art mosaics of the Smurfs, among others.
So since last year, in La Rabine, a Smurf in the colours of the RCV has been stuck up, but also near the ramparts another inspired by the urban artist Bansky and his "Flower Bomber" or even a Breton couple near the fish market.
This time, we can also see an Ermine in the parking lot of the former law school; an Asterix in Saint-Patern and perhaps other creations that they have yet to unearth.
So why this "attachment" to Vannes? In fact, one of the founders of IPDO lives near the La Rabine stadium in Vannes and he often comes there on holiday. "Last year, I put fifteen pieces and this year for the moment eleven plus two in restoration. And it's not finished. For the moment, we have twenty-five pieces. We wanted to leave our mark on the city." In any case, it's smurfingly nice, right?
