What motivated us to choose the Smurfs for our pixel art creations?

When we started working on our pixel characters, the choice of the Smurfs was almost natural. It is not only a question of aesthetics: the Smurfs represent a world rich in values, fantasy and colors, which fits perfectly with pixel art. But there is more: one of our artists, Francesco, is a true Smurf enthusiast.

Francesco grew up with the Smurfs, fascinated by their magical world and the positive messages they conveyed. Over the years, this passion has never diminished, transforming into an incredible and unique collection. Today, Francesco has a vast collection of Smurf objects. Each piece tells a story and carries within it a fragment of nostalgia and love for these little blue characters.

We saw in the Smurfs an opportunity to bring something special to life. Pixel art, with its simple lines and retro charm, fits perfectly with the Smurfs' design. The characters, with their round shapes and bright colors, seem made to be reinterpreted in pixel art. In addition, the Smurfs are recognized and loved all over the world, making our project accessible to a wide audience.
